In these weekly painting courses you will learn all the different aspects of classical painting and drawing. From September until May the courses will take place in my studio in De Machinist in the centre of Rotterdam. The classes are fun, interesting, easy to understand and accessiable for all levels. All materials are included. From May until August the painting courses will take place outside on some of the most beautiful spots of Rotterdam as:

Painting Courses

You can start these weekly courses at any moment of the year and no prior experience or level is required. The classes are accessible, interesting and worthwhile for both professionals and beginners. All major subjects, like perspective, lighting, composition, color and painting techniques will be treated while painting stilllifes, portraits and detailed studies using different painting techniques. All materials will be included and available on the spot, so you don’t need to bring anything and you can start painting right away.

Weekly courses for all levels

To learn how to paint is to learn how to see. With a focus on centuries old tried and tested methods, you'll learn the techniques that will help you look at the world around you in a new way with attention and clarity. This will help you to understand and depict anything that you can see accurately and completely within your own personal style. Anyone with a little bit of patience and perseverance can learn the basic skills you need to paint or draw. The most important thing to develop is the joy of it, and with these professional, yet fun classes, that should not be a problem.

The course is perpetually ongoing and you can start whenever you want, provided that there is an open spot available. You would join for one evening per week and pay per set of 8 courses. A set of 8 painting classes is € 225,-, with all materials included and you can take these courses in a 10-week timeframe.
