In order to celebrate the fact that my work has been admitted on Artsy - the online platform for the international professional art world, I have decided to give a free online workshop on Cloud and Sky painting for anyone who will make an account on Artsy and will also follow me on that platform.

This workshop will be an online presentation on Zoom and show the finer skills and subtleties of painting clouds and skies. The workshop will cover details about techniques, brush strokes, color mixing and a range of other subtleties to master in order to paint perfect, overwhelming and monumental skies.

The first part of the workshop is about learning how to look at color, light and texture of skies and clouds, in relation to the rest of the landscape and the second parts consists of the special materials and techniques that you can use to paint the most convincing and lifelike clouds and skies.

At the end of the demonstration there will be time to do some excercises and discuss any problems tor difficulties hat you may encounter. The materials you will need at home to particpate are acrylic or oil paints (at least the colors white, blue and brown or black), some brushes and paper.

I’ll do the presentation in English, but you can ask questions in any language that you like.

Online Workshop Wolkenluchten

Om te vieren dat mijn werk is toegelaten tot het internationale online kunstplatform Artsy, geef ik een gratis online workshop Wolkenluchten voor een ieder die een account aanmaakt en mij wil volgen op Artsy .

Deze workshop izal online op Zoom plaatsvinden en behandelt de subtielere vaardigheden en fijnere verf- en kwasttechnieken die je nodig hebt om overtuigende en levensechte wolkenluchten te schilderen. In het eerste gedeelte van de workshop leer je nuances in kleur, licht en diepte te zien en de kenmerken van verschillende types en structuren van wolken.

In het tweede gedeelte leer je hoe bepaalde kwasttechnieken deze zachte kleur- en lichtovergangen natuurlijk kunnen weergeven en hoe je je palet kan mengen, je landschap indelen en het licht en de kleur zo kan manipuleren dat je een waarheidsgetrouw gevoel van licht, lucht en ruimte creëert binnen je schilderij.

Na de online demonstratie is er tijd om thuis zelf te oefenen en om eventuele moeilijkheden en problemen die je tegenkomt te bespreken. De materialen die je thuis nodigt hebt om mee te kunnen doen zijn acryl of olieverf (tenminste wit, blauw en bruin of zwart), wat kwasten en papier of doek.

Ik geef de workshop in het Engels, maar je kan alles vragen en bespreken in het Nederlands.
